Musicians ; something happened a few days ago that got me thinking, A individual who has used me on a once a month gig ripped into the entire band for not bringing our spouse/significant others to their gig. This is not a band it was a group of musicians doing a job(jobbing but not for jobbing money) Somehow they were convinced that it was our job as hired hands to populate their gig although there was no prior discussion. I do post the occasional public gig I do,I work a lot and the people in my life are used to that so its not a big deal Im playing a gig,they come if they want to but should a hired sideman be expected to promote someone elses gig automatically?
