Musings on SciFi Fantasy TV: Sleepy Hollow Part Adam Adamant, part Captain America (plus a pseudo Red Skull) with a dash of Terminator and lashings of the old TV Trope fish out of water confusion used often with aliens and non human life forms assimilating to earth ( Alien Nation, ALF, Data in Star TrekNG, Third Rock from the Sun etc etc). Featuring Tom Mison, another British actor headlining a major US TV show (Jonathan Rhys Meyers: Dracula; Damien Lewis: Jonny Lee Miller: Elementary; Homecoming; Stephen Moyer: True Blood; Matthew Rhys: The Americans; Hughes Lawrie: House; Andrew Lincoln: The Walking Dead; Idris Elba: The Wire; Ian MacShane: Deadwood; Charlie Hunnam: Sons of Anarchy .... David McCallum in a The Man From UNCLE!!). This us enjoyable, humorous, and only slightly prone to formula (US TV after all..) - quickly establishing its own consistent fantastical World in the wake of Classic TV Buffy, Supernatural, Grimm, True Blood and others. The Executive Producer show runners are all superstars of SciFi TV, so t has excellent pedigree. A second series begins in September ...
