*Muslim Footsteps Quiz* I think many of you knew the answer, but the ones who submitted the correct ones were @Ashiqa Khan and @SB Javed. The answer is Isa AS and his mother, Maryam AS. In Surah 3:35, the mother of Maryam AS made this dua: O my Lord! I have vowed to You what (the child that) is in my womb to be dedicated for Your services (free from all worldly work; to serve Your Place of worship), so accept this, from me. Verily, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knowing. However, she gave birth to a girl, instead of a boy who would be a prophet. She said: And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah ]. (3:36) The Quran continues: So her Lord accepted her with good acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner. (3:37) That baby girl later gave birth to Isa AS (Jesus AS). Hence, a very pious sincere woman wanted a pure child for Allah to carry the message of Islam. Even her dua during this time could not be fulfilled because she was already carrying a female child, and for her dua to be accepted, the child had to be a male to be a a prophet and messenger. But for her extreme sincerity, her Lord Allah SWT accepted her supplication and from the girl, He gave her the son, without male intervention, Isa AS. Today, how many of us cant wait to get married and have a child. But we dont think about the man or woman we marry, for what purpose, and what kind of child this marriage will produce, whom the child will be dedicated to, and with what purpose in life. We never even think of that, much less supplicate for a pious child. And after that, when we have a family crisis, we wonder what happened! Start with the intention. Did you know my dear sisters in Islam, how your womb can be blessed with a child who can elevate the name of Allah and lead you to Jannah? As opposed to a child who can be a fitnah to us and doom us to jahannam?
