Muslim Leadership Program 2014 Applications OPEN [Annual program under the collaboration between the Islamic Council of Victoria (ICV) and the Centre of Dialog at La Trobe University]. They get 100s of applications but this years only 10 will be selected. In previous years, it has described to: -Provide high-level access to influential shapers of public opinion and public policy makers in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney -Empower emerging voices of leadership from Muslim communities and help them realise their full potential as agents for change -Develop the range of skills required to engage confidently and creatively with all levels of government, business, academia, media and religious and community organisations -Create links and networks between members of Australian Muslim communities and their peers in Southeast Asia and the Middle East -Facilitate encounters with leaders of Australia’s diverse Muslim minority and introduce participants to community leaders representing Australia’s religiously diverse landscape -Encourage new thinking about the contribution Muslims can make to shape human futures *FULLY SUBSIDISED + Interstate Travel Formerly directed by Sven, this year its being spearheaded by Tasneem Chopra- a curator at Immigration Museum (remember Faith, Fashion, Fusion last year) and runs a cross-cultural consultancy amongst many other awesome things. Key difference from previous years: -Down to 2 weeks from 5 weeks -Melbourne applicants only -Different themes and guest speakers -No Taz This is gonna be good- Ive done this last year.
