Muslim students recently hosted a Halaal workshop to elucidate the Islamic concept to fellow members of the University community. According to Pandy, among the issues clarified were that the absence of pork in an item did not immediately render it Halaal, and an explanation of what Halaal certificates and stamps meant. (Our exercise revealed) that non-Muslims on campus dont know much about Halaal and what Muslims do. As the MSA at the University we are trying our best to promote Islam to non Muslims so that they can understand our religion and needs better.
