Muslim volunteer saves Hindu girl during Ganesh GHYA, Lumbini Park, Mediciti Hospital Muslim volunteer saves Hindu girl during Ganesh procession A Hindu girl was saved by a Muslim volunteer during the final Ganesh immersion procession here on Monday. A six-year-old, Bhavani, suffered grievous injuries after falling down from the Ganesh pandal near Lumbini Park at the Secretariat. Her mother, Maheshwari, too got seriously injured in the incident and is still in trauma. They are residents of Balapur. The devotees, police personnel and other volunteers rushed for help. Although the volunteers immediately called for an ambulance, but in view of the traffic it was difficult for the ambulance to reach the spot immediately. Meanwhile, Greater Hyderabad Youth Association chairman MA Irfan who was working as a volunteer, lifted the little girl in his hands and ran to the nearby Mediciti Hospital. The GHYA volunteers also paid the admission charges and ensured that the injured girl is immediately attended by the doctors. GHYA volunteers Majid Khan, Adil Al-Idroos, Dilshad Al-Attas and others were present. The doctors praised the GHYA volunteers for rushing the girl immediately to the hospital as further delay would have caused more bleeding posing threat to the girl’s life. The condition of the girl is still said to be critical.
