For those of you who do not understand why Axum is a holy place, let me explain it to you. 1.Axum is a holy place because it is the first place in Ethiopia to ever be converted into Christianity by Europeans. 2.Also, It’s been believed & said that Mother Marry has revealed herself many times in Axum and if a mosque is built, MAY BE the government is afraid she would never reveal herself to people again.
