Must become more careful about writing: “I am home (noun) less (adjective, comparative of “little”) in Waikiki,” is how my sentence began…It was explaining why I was home less often than when I lived in Aiea: …”Many things are near to see and do just steps from my doorway (I live beyond the doorway, not on it)…restaurants, bars, artists friends at the zoo fence, animals inside the Zoo, a library within easy walking range, Waikiki has lots of chipper chatty people.” That was my bad! But not everyone is a careful reader. Some lumped the two words together as one unit, into an adjective meaning "without home or haven" (usually used with a plural verb to categorize people as a group). Must remember that most folks scan not absorb what is written. If a word can misinterpreted it probably will. Now I use the word “less” less often. It seems to be a pejorative in Hawaii where those in political power demand “more and more.” Demanding more here is not considered “amoral.”
