Must-watch interview with Joseph Hickman, a former Army staff - TopicsExpress

Must-watch interview with Joseph Hickman, a former Army staff sergeant who was on duty at Guantanamos Camp Delta the night of June 9, 2006, when three prisoners died. The Center for Constitutional Rights represented the families of two of the men in Al-Zahrani v. Rumsfeld, a civil action brought against the 24 federal officials, including Donald Rumsfeld, for their role in the arbitrary detention, torture and ultimate deaths of Yasser Al-Zahrani of Saudi Arabia and Salah Al-Salami of Yemen. At the time of their deaths, Al-Zahrani and Al-Salami had been detained incommunicado for more than four years without charge. The case was dismissed by the district court in Washington, DC, and affirmed on appeal in the DC Circuit Court. CCR currently represents these families in their petition to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, in Al-Zahrani v. United States, which seeks international accountability for their sons’ deaths. The petition remains pending.
