My 10 personally relevant books that Ive read. Most of these are books that I read years ago and opened my eyes and mind. Prior to many of these books, the depth of my reading were Patrick F. McManus stories and the pages of various dirt bike, four wheelin, and hunting and fishing magazines. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig (Also his follow up book, Lila) Ishmael by Daniel Quinn Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer On the Road by Jack Kerouac (Also add The Dharma Bums) Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway (Actually, everything by Hemingway) The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, Author The Fools Progress: An Honest Novel by Edward Abbey: A Voice in the Wilderness (Must add all things Abbey) The Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain (it goes without saying, all things Twain reside on my bookshelves) Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse Im not going to tag anyone, but replying to Denise Collins Williams. Feel free to post your own reading that had an impact on you, enough to make you rethink your view of the world, life, and religion....if you have the guts.
