My 13 year old son attitude toward starting school last week was less than cooperative. As a homeschool mom, I needed to reach his heart. So today we worked. I said nothing except we were working on the house today.I woke him at 5 to mow the lawn.We have 5 acres. Afterward he weeded the flower gardens, then moved the brickpile next to the house to the back of the property... You get the idea..until all was done.@ 5 he was asleep in bed but not before I told him very calmly if you dont get an education, this is the type of work you will do daily....he woke and was working on his math at 10 pm without me saying one word.
