My 15 days to 40 Years/the Daily Dose of Whitman - the announcement this week that the Senate had confirmed Vivek Murthy as our countrys new Surgeon General at the tender age of 37 made me once again ask, what the heck have I done/am I doing now at 39 years old? Contrast that with the fact that Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook at 20 years old and now at only 30 is worth over $33 billion, yet Ive never thought twice about it. Today, I was reminded that Ive made conscious decisions in my life that got me to where I am personally and professionally and Ive worked hard to get where I am. Yes, I could have worked harder and maybe smarter at times. Yes, there are many things I probably should have done differently as recent as this morning, but you know what? Today I am just where I need and want to be and these wee ones reminded me to be thankful for the opportunity to be here today.
