My 17 y/o son was recently diagnosed with esophageal spasms, which the doctor said are harmless and without consequence (unless they get worse.) Diagnosis came from talking to my son, no tests. This coupled with him having a chronic cough...and my mother passing from EC on Easter last year...make me very uneasy. I am NOT seeking medical advice from this group, merely inquiring to see if anyone has heard of or experienced esophageal spasms and what they did about it. I will be calling the doctor back on Monday and taking further steps, but there is also a wealth of knowledge in groups such as this and that is all I am asking: life experience that you can share...
