Now, I have come to learn about drones so much that even I want to buy one for recreational purpose. They cut out some of the important applications of drones that I wrote. Pasting here nevertheless: The diversification in the usage of drones is not limited to disaster management and defense alone, but also in various other domains. A Canadian start-up CropCam has been using drones for surveying crops’ health in vast fields; a Californian company Matternet employs drones for transporting food to inaccessible areas in sub-Saharan Africa; a bay area company named Skycatch, with Google as its investor, has been using drones for thermal imaging of solar-panels to map the efficiency of solar cells.
