My 2nd favorite Grateful Dead show of all time (1st being there MSG show on 09/04/1979) and in my opinion the best soundboard recording they ever if you never like the Dead or never listened to them you will be a huge Deadhead by the time you get done listening to this show. This review and enough said after that. Reviewer: Murielb32010 - 5.00 out of 5 - January 9, 2014 Subject: Grateful Dead/Allman Brothers Jam For all of you folks out there who are not aware of the 26th song--Thats Allright Mama on, is a jam with The Allman Brothers Band!! We went to the Watkins Glen show on July 28th that summer. The Dead opened right on time at Noon, followed by The Band, with The Allman Brothers playing last. But, after they finished their set, it was followed by a MONUMENTAL JAM with a compilation of some of the BEST MUSIC EVER PERFORMED!!! I was one of the lucky few who got to see The Allman Brothers open for The Grateful Dead at The Fillmore East in Feb. of 1970 and again in March of 1971, with Duane when they recorded the famous Live at the Fillmore East. Some 40 years later i can still see Jerry and Dicky Betts standing next to each other jamming!!! That show ended at about 1:30 in the morning at Watkins Glen Speedway!!! https://archive.org/details/gd73-06-10.sbd.hollister.174.sbeok.shnf
