My 6 year old twin grand daughters spent the night last night. Whenever any of my six grand children spend the night, I always take them to the store and let them pick out a toy or something. Some people may think that that is spoiling them. Ive never looked at it that way. Ive always looked at parenting or in this case grand parenting as setting an example. That example is that life is about giving. Its working! The girls found 2 dollars and some change in their overnight bag. They brought it to me and said , We want you to have this Grandpa, because youre always buying us stuff! I told them no, that they can have it, but they insisted I take it. So, I pretended to take it and thanked them, teachng them that they are not too young to be generous! As the old Irish saying goes, Thus endith the lesson!
