My 76 year old, stroke survivor, disabled, in a wheelchair, with - TopicsExpress

My 76 year old, stroke survivor, disabled, in a wheelchair, with an aide accompanying her, mom had an appointment with an ophthalmologist (a referral from our regular eye doctor) on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. It was a referral for her cataracts, for surgery. They kept her waiting THREE HOURS... then, when she told them how rude it was to keep people waiting that long, he told her he didnt like HER attitude, and that while she did need surgery he wasnt going to do it and pretty much threw her out of the office. Way to go Dr. Roberts. Triple book patients, line em up, make them wait for multiple hours ... then tell THEM they have a bad attitude? No consideration shown at all for people with disabilities, no accommodation made for people in wheelchairs, and you have the NERVE to take offence when a little old lady tells you it is rude? Obviously your strategy is billing for all those appointments, not so much about patient care. Nice job.
