My 8 year old can break the words expulsion into the root, prefix, and suffix to analyze the meaning of the word. She can independently google expulsory offence in order to assess which offences she is willing to commit in order to be expelled from school and return to homeschooling. She can thrust out her jaw and throw back her shoulders while declaring that she will use a swear word in every sentence she speaks at school. And if that doesnt lead to her expulsion, she will run around telling all the kindergarteners that Santa Claus does not exist. Hmmm.
