My 97 dakota shorty 4wd. Only has 140000km,new plugs, wires, cap, rotor button, coil, timing assembly, waterpump, map sensor, crank sensor, stage two shift kit, fresh bodywork, front pads, front rotors, passenger side caliper, all tie rod ends, all ball joints, front bearings, drivers side axel/cv, four shocks, exhaust all just fixed, newer 31s with some nice 16s, rear frame where the bumper mounts are, straightened. Shes come a long way since i got her but please somebody thats good with 3.9s help. Ive had a misfire for six months and i cant find it. Mechanics cant find the problem, because they rarely work on 3.9s. Fuel pressure good, compression good, has fire on all cylinders, injectors all work. Perhaps it isnt timed right from when it jumped timing a while ago? The misfire goes through phases, for two months it will work like shit have a multiple misfire on 3 random cylinders, and then for a week it will run alright if i pussy foot it. I am at a loss and out of money. If there is any dodge magic men out there that are willing to take on the challenge and get it running like it did before it jumped timing, ill more then gladly give you my 99 ram, great parts truck.
