My Adventure:....For anyone who wants to know what Happened all week.....Cue the banjo ( Like in Deliverance)....lol....;P......Upstate Catskills N.Y is soooooo beautiful, peaceful, serene. scenic....the air so fresh and clean it really is Heaven on earth....My Aunts house MAJORLY Creepy and haunted and old and dusty and thats where I stayed.....AAAACCCKKKKKK can you say horror story in the .making...lol.....I thought it would be a piece of cake....wrong!!!! a cousin I Never met contested her will..after much mediation we settled and the house I wanted to make a spiritual retreat is now up on the market ..... so the first days I went to visit my gyspy family..... my family Is Eastern European decent and speak a mix of slovic... they settled in the Catskill mountains where they remain off grid and away from the world living as they did generations ago and the only reason they even let me in is because of my grandmothers reputation and a cousin who lives in Albany came with me.... o.k. so cue the banjo music...lol....really violins is what they play and beautifully.... as we rode up a long dirt road I swear it got darker and darker.... they own many acres way up in the mountains ...bigfoot land..... The homestead was very quaint ... everyone dressed in handmade clothing ..very modest small cabin like homes... big roasting fire where they cook meals ..no electric or plumbing outhouses only UGH!!!!!!! its like going to the bathroom locked in a closet full of bugs.....They gave me the stare down as I look like my non gypsy dad blonde blue eyes light skin and they sneered and whispered to each other.... I bought with me a lot of fabric, sewing utensils etc as an offering to them....I also bought a lot of Things and food etc from the Outside...... they soon softened up to me and we talked a long time and found most cousins left awhile ago to live outside the family compound and what was left was only elders now... by far the coolest experience.was visiting the family witch ...man was she freaken awesome....her home full of herbs and brew and ingredients and man was she old ...She is the family Doctor.....and she gave me a few cool new spells yay!!!!!! we will try them next spell night......so after a dinner of possum and squirrel stew I headed to my aunts home... ALL Night there were voices, doors slamming and foot steps... man it was sooooooo creepy staying alone..... I did not see any spirits with my eyes but Dam I could hear them.... after a few nights they were relatively quiet.....I left my lawyer in charge of any money I got and how to dispense it.... more than half goes back to my gypsy family for home repairs and anything else they need and the rest went to numerous animal sanctuaries up in the area.... when the house is sold half goes to my cousin the rest to the family...and I walk away knowing her money went to good causes.... I make my own way in life and any money I have ever received I help all I can with.... I will go back to the Catskills upon home closing but for now Its good to be home..... I will make a note of my haunted experience in her house as there is so much to tell.... Living off grid the gypsy life is awesome BUT I really need plumbing and electric..lol.... it was nice to go home to see how tradition lives on with them and I am very Proud to be part of a gypsy family.... :) man that old gypsy witch was cool.... I can only hope to be as awesome someday myself.:)
