My Ascension to power divinely orchestrated:Al-makura The Governor of Nasarawa State, Umar Tanko Al-Makura, has said his detractors would fail like a pack of cards, if they did not change their ways. The governor, who spoke in Abuja through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Press Affairs, Mr. Sani Musa Mairiga, said despite disparaging and derogatory comments against his administration by those he called his detractors, Allah will continue to guide and direct him to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the state. Al-Makura said his ascension to power as the governor of Nasarawa State was divinely orchestrated, therefore he has nothing to fear, especially over those who are hell-bent on pulling him down and dragging his name in the mud. "Some of my detractors have held various positions; they should come out and tell us what they have done to better the living conditions of our people," the governor demanded. Al-Makura said anybody attempting to run down his government through whatever means would end up having high blood pressure because such attempts are bound to fail. The governor said he would continue to ensure that Nasarawa money gets to the poor through the provision of infrastructure for the benefit of all. "Some people want power by hook or by crook; I want to let them know that power comes from Allah. He bestows it on who He wants and nobody has the audacity to question Him." The governor also said his government would continue to do its best towards the uplifting of the people of the state. He said his administration is working round the clock to create an enabling environment where sustainable peace and tranquility would prevail. He however, warned mischief makers to desist from acts capable of causing disaffection among the citizens of the state. Gov. Al-makura also called on politicians to avoid politics of rancor, acrimony and pulled him down syndrome because it would not augur well for the betterment of Nasarawa state.
