My Auntie Maya asked me to come visit her in March and I flew to - TopicsExpress

My Auntie Maya asked me to come visit her in March and I flew to our hometown of Winston-Salem, NC to do so. We spent the weekend at her kitchen table, talking, laughing, eating her delicious meals, watching TV, and reading our poetry to each other. She was so excited that her jonquils were starting to bloom, as she loved her Spring garden. Auntie was also insistent that I take home a few of her hardcover books and she signed every one - wishing me years of joy and centuries of satisfying creativity. Through her unconditional love and her overflowing wisdom, I will step up my game like never before; finding more direction, focus, and artistic ideas because of her divine inspiration. Today, we are all Auntie Mayas family and, as the brothers and sisters that we truly are, we should celebrate her life and tremendous love for humanity unyieldingly. Thank you again for your many condolences. She remains a beacon of hope for us all.
