My Beauty with a Purpose project. My family taught me to love - TopicsExpress

My Beauty with a Purpose project. My family taught me to love and help people. This was an important part of my growing up and I am very grateful to my parents for that. I started dealing with humanitarian work long before I became Miss Croatia, however this title has opened up many doors and given me more opportunities to help those in need. I have been a part of many campaigns and in each one I gave it my all to leave some kind of trace and do some good. I ardently worked for the campaign: „A Hug for a Book“- a project I designed and organized myself in its entirety. Books are my great passion and when my country was afflicted with terrible floods this year I was devastated by the fact that almost all the libraries had lost their essential elements. During the summer I started collecting books from friends and acquaintances and when I became Miss Croatia I knew that I had received a great opportunity to do something monumental because all the eyes of the people and the media were focused on me. I started the campaign: “A Hug for a Book“,and the results were fantastic. We collected a few thousand books and restored the town library in Hrvatska Kostajnica. The campaign is still going strong and I can hardly wait to fill the library shelves of the next town on our list. And please allow me to quote the famous writer: „That, which you have not given, you cannot receive“. I am a firm believer in this.
