My Century Friends!... Were having some scary thoughts :) ...my wife and I are in the process of opening another business, and sadly had not had the chance to get to our beloved 58 Arabian until this week... Short story...we bought the boat after much searching in 2011 and found it needed a few things...so we had Brightworks up the road in Madison replace a splash strip and re varnish hull and repaint bottom...We got her back late in the season in 2012, only to find she would not run...so she spent the winter having the motor gone through...and we (finally) had the loveliest boating season ever in 2013...could not have been better!... But now...with a new venture looming, and the boat needing a couple of things...we are entertaining thoughts of letting her go somewhere where she will get the proper amount of use (now that shes just about ready to do so)...But before we officially list her anywhere, figured wed go to the best place in the world for Century boats to see if there was any interest amongst the true enthusiasts... some quick stats...1958 Arabian, hull # Q5874, original gray marine #H12838 model 136. Carbs rebuilt last year, compression test last year, all functioned perfectly. I think everything that should be there is there...its been a learning experience of course, but positive if any of the parts are incorrect Frank Miklos will let me know from the pics :)! Interior is not original, but nice enough (was on my list for this winter). Could use some antifouling touch up. Lights need to be rewired, as they are now not working (original wiring...was also on the list for this spring...). And currently starter is having some issues...will turn over, but inadvertently will stop...so we are presuming a rebuild is in order...next on the list! She could stay with us, and wed get to the issues as we can...but the thought of not having the time to enjoy her is a tough one...and to complicate selling her, I wouldnt know where to start value wise... so (and sorry for the long post)...any interested parties here (or thoughts on a fair asking price)?
