My Christmas Eve..to this point. After stumbling out of bed this morning...I decided to have my quick fix shake. I use Weight Watchers egg whites...orange juice..and a few frozen whole strawberries. My last visit to the grocer..they were out of the WW egg whites..so..I grabbed a quart of Egg Beaters. I make my shake...take a huge gulp...my mouth is on fire!! Im thinking wth?? I look at the Egg Beaters..its for Western omlets...so..its loaded with red peppers..I even see the little pieces in my shake. I man up and drink it all down, followed by a full glass of water. After this fiasco..I prepare to go into town..being the procrastinator that I am..I have some last minute shopping to do...and a few personal errands. About 200 yards from my drive...I RUN OUT OF GAS..now before you say..what an idiot ..in my defense, I drive the work truck all the time..and for the most part..my truck is sitting in the yard..but..WHAT AN IDIOT! I put my emergency blinkers on..and begin to push my truck out of the road..thinking..well..this is an almost total body workout..then I notice the truck is really moving..a nice fellow by the name of Matt has stopped and is pushing from the rear. He offers to take me to the store for gas...the station has no gas can!! WHAT? I buy a gallon of water..drink as much as I can...pour the rest out.tell him I need a gallon of gas! Back to the truck...thanks to Matt..and the gallon jug..Im back on the road..needless to say..I stopped and got $5.00 worth to be safe ;) . I began my errands. Im leaving one establishment...change in hand..a penny drops..I watch it roll..thinking if it lands on heads..Ill leave it for someone to pick up for luck...the penny rolls...and remains STANDING ON EDGE!! WTH?? Im not sure whether to pick it up or leave it. I opt for picking it up. At this point..its lunch time. I go to my favorite lunch place.Three Crazy Bakers..my favorite person.Mandy Zeigler walks out to take my order..smiling..pleasant as always..we talk about the rain...chit chat...she brings me my food..some great quiche..fresh fruit..and a cup of potato soup! I finish my meal...pay my bill..and I then decide to tip Mandy a little extra..its Christmas...she works hard..always pleasant..makes dining out a more pleasurable experience..shes just nice..I like her. I hand her the tip..and shes like..no..you dont have to do that William Im like Mandy..I want to..spend it on Christmas..its your tip for the day..keep it....shes fanning her face like girls will do..getting all misty eyed..damn..she makes me get misty eyed for some reason!! haha..I give her a hug...tell her MERRY CHRISTMAS..I leave to finish a few more errands..order is restored..the world is a better place..I have a little extra pep to my step...and a smile on my face....giving truly is receiving!
