My Dad died in August 1996 after living with vascular dementia and experiencing a stroke that hit the base of the brain. I am celebrating his birthday today. I have been reflecting today on the teaching that he provided to me about my Christian walk and living life on lifes terms....honesty, integrity, always care for others, get an education, work hard, give 110% to your employer, never give up and so much more. Those teachings have served me well.
