My Dad fell while he was sitting in a chair outside his room. His room is right across from the nurses station. On the floor where he is, the nurses have the patients sit in the hallway to get them out of there rooms. They have alarms under them so if they try to get up the alarms go off. The staff is supposedly watching them. So how did he fall? Dad is getting stronger. He is not as weak and his infection cleared up. He can walk up and down stairs assisted. He uses the bathroom himself. He still needs help bathing and dressing. He is eating regular foods but still restricted with his fluids. He is going to need 24/7 care when he goes home. No way can Mom do this alone. Hired help only does daytime and only so much. The rest of the time its up to us.
