My Dad, my both Grandfathers, three of my uncles (Moms Dad went both wars, mustard got his lungs, still signed up second war and spent it in the Alusions) We were lucky, they all came back, Dad injured twice, soon as well, went right back to duty, doubly lucky the rest never got wounded, Neither did Mom, she was Wax, then went to Royal Military Police, went across Europe, (proud of my family , thank God for them, otherwise I would not be here. ) Partly why I joined, only thing I regretted, they changed the rules and I couldnt wear their medals on my right chest. I wear the Poppy year round, not because I spent a career, I dont consider myself as a veteran, they were and are the true Veterans, and now our men out there in combat are our new veterans, respect them for what they are.
