My Daddys Labor I & My Daddys Labor II Happy Labor Day - TopicsExpress

My Daddys Labor I & My Daddys Labor II Happy Labor Day everyone. This Labor Day has me thinking back to my humble roots as the baby of seven. My Daddy was one of the hardest working men Ive ever known, and instilled into all of us kids the value of hard work. He taught us what it meant to work and farm the waters of the beautiful Gulf Coast. The boats my daddy had were not the commercial boats that we see of TLCs famed Alaskan King Crab farmers. They were not steel hulled boats, but humble little wooden boats that would go into Dry Dock on the Point of Biloxi and be repaired as necessary to insure he could continue to support and feed his ever growing family. He not only farmed the waters of Coastal Mississippi, but also that of Coastal Alabama and Louisiana. During my Daddys time on the waters, the only sort of Steel boat on the water was a tug boat, and a double rigger was a rare sight as well. While in Bayou LaBatre, AL yesterday shooting with a group of great friends, this image was something that stood out to me among many commercial fishing boats or steel hulled boats. As I stood there shooting, I realized, this here was my Daddys Labor!! Hope you all enjoy! I so miss my Daddy!!
