My Dear Dr. ManMohan Singh, Namaste. Sat Shri Akal too ! Without going into merits / demerits of the issue whether you deserve the award recently conferred upon you by the Japanese Govt., I congratulate you for the same. I am also not going into merits / demerits of the congratulations which I am extending to your much-maligned Excellency on this occasion. After all the Bharat Natyam of Congress (I)TALIAN politics and Mohiniattam of national politics, I frankly concede, you are a gentleman and should be accorded the status in commensuration with that reality. History of the country shall remember you only because no historian or country allows interregnum in their Time-Space Continuum. So the period of 2004-2014 has to be covered in somebody’s name and it cannot be left blank ! You shall stand responsible for this period of national history as you held an elected Constitutional office albeit without contesting elections and you cannot escape surreptitiously through any tunnel of NAC / Italian Boss / Coalition Partners / ISIS / NaMo / Saddam Hussein / Col. Muammar Gaddafi / Amitbhai Shah and all that bla bla. I venture to talk herein about one of your decisions which shocked every nerve in my body and the statement which stunned every nerve in my body, again !!! And almost all neurons in the Cerebrum of my brain (I dare say, I am not brainless !! What about you ??) too. Around these two is woven a mutilated fabric of 10 year long mal-governance to mad-governance to criminal-governance, to your credit. When Supreme Court cancelled appointment of PJ Thomas as CAG and declared, the appointment NEVER happened at all…it was a very high decibel, resounding slap on your face yet you did not squirm at all ! Had you have even one mg. of the rare commodity known as Self-Respect (very different from ego), you would have certainly thrown your resignation on the face of your Italian Boss. Yet you did not, even as you happen to be a Sikh ! The way you brazened it out with all inanities and silly smiles posing as simpleton before national media, really shocked every nerve in my body. So did of lakhs across the nation too. When you declared from the ramparts of Constitutional Office of PM that you held, that Muslims have first claim over national resources, bequeathed entire nation to them with no trace of any pride for the ancient, rich Vedic heritage of the country…to a community who were raped / converted by marauders from West Asia at sword-point long ago, really stunned every nerve in my body ! So did of lakhs across the nation too. Were you declaring then, formation of Islamic Republic of India through your declaration ? Even as 125 crore human lives trusted you for their well-being and security ? So wrongly, indeed. When you were conferred upon a dubious degree of honorary doctorate by the Oxford, you prostrated yourself before the British Queen, even your Khalsa Pugree went down before her, thanked her for gifting India so much through the Raj…including Parliamentary Democracy !!! The way you derogated your Sikh Pantha (forget Hinduism for a moment !) before a foreigner heading a country that sent rapists like Lansdowne and Dalhousie, looters like Robert Clive and mass-murderers like Reginald O’Dyer to your country, shocked and stunned my entire Central Nervous System ! You may or may not have felt wretched, but I did not for sure, because my value-education has convinced me about greatness of the Dharma / Samskriti I am born to. You are BRAZENNESS-INCARNATE albeit of Tripos variety, Dr. Singh !! Parliamentary Democracy was not imported from Britain. It is in our DNA. Even thousands of years ago, elected Village Parliaments practised so advanced democratic concepts like RIGHT TO RECALL. Kindly mull over it carefully. If my unwelcome e-communication succeeds in pricking your conscience for the better and you decline to accept / return the award following footsteps of “renunciation” of your Italian Boss, that will be your first small step towards statesmanship for sure, Dr. Singh.
