My Dish TV account allowed us to see the first episode of the new Starz series: Outlander, a little while ago. I have read all the books and am currently reading #8, In My Hearts Own Blood all written by Diana Gabaldon. The books are GREAT and the series promises to be almost great! For the in-Outlander group, its the story of a WW2 nurse, after the war, who while traveling with her husband to Inverness, Scotland, happens to quite accidentally touch a stone (similar to Stonehenge) and falls through time to 1743 century where she meets a Scottish warrior and ends up spending, well, 8 books with him. Its my favorite series and while the television version could never do everything the books do, its trying its best!
