My FB friends in Malapatan, kindly call the attention of our public officials. Ipaalam nyo kay Mayor, Vice-Mayor and the Municipal Councillors for them to take necessary action and compel the MSWD Head to explain during the SB Session. Such lousy excuse is just unacceptable. I just want to know; do the local government of Malapatan have considered programs for the indigenous people who are living in the remotest mountains? I believe we have enough Indigenous peoples leaders from the Barangay level and even in the Municipal levels. Have the LGU Malapatan supported the IP Mandatory Representation that the IP leadership be empowered to look after its people? This IP Representative can himself check the veracity of this report and support the noble and selfless effort of Dr. Cagape. Our Vice-Mayor is a Blaan himself and we have Blaan Councillors as well that they can be of great help on this concern. Those children mentioned here by Dr. Cagape are Blaan Children who have the equal rights with other children in the Municipality. We must have a sense of gratitude that a private person like Dr. Cagape took the responsibility of looking after them and the least that a government agency like MSWD can do is to extend all the support necessary..mahiya naman kayo sa kanya as he is doing the job that supposedly by those who are being paid to do it. What an irony, a private person begging a public institution for a service which is their very own mandate to think of it. This is a wake up call for all of us to be vigilant of how this people are doing their job.
