My Facebook friends: Once again I reaching out to you all for prayers. My mother who is 89 today was put in the hospital yesterday with multiple issues. She fell on November 2nd and had to have emergency surgery for a compound fracture of her left tibia. She made it through that while in rehab there was a huge error made by a nurse and due to this error her incision was blown out by infection. Being a diabetic this is not a good combination. We had been seeing the orthopedic surgeon once a week and Monday he put her in the hospital. Once she was evaluated there her diagnosis was as follows: cellulitis, anemia, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, hypoxia, kidney function not working effectively, and dyspnea. All this combination has put her in a very fragile state. The doctor has decided to preform a debridement on her leg today in order to try and save the leg. She is a extremely high risk surgery and that is why I am reaching out to you all for prayers. I know it always seems that when I post things that it is not good news, I guess that is part of the territory that comes with taking care of an elderly mother. I would appreciate any prayers for her to not only recover from these horrible health issues but that she makes it through this surgery today... I would like to thank all of you in advance for the prayers that I know my facebook family wont let me down by keeping her in your prayers.
