My Family and I Was Saved from a Terrible Death At the Mississippi River! (2007) Many times in my life I have had vivid experiences, perceiving that God is about to do something or that something is about to take place right before it happens! Here is just one example. On August 1, 2007 my wife, three sons, daughter and I were traveling on Highway I 35 West. We were in our Toyota crew cab pickup truck, pulling a 35 foot fifth wheel trailer. We were on vacation and headed for Yellowstone National Park. At the time, we were headed towards the downtown area of Minneapolis, Minnesota. As I was driving, I sensed in my heart that we needed to get off this highway even though our GPS was taking us the shortest route to where we were headed. I have discovered and personally experienced 20 major ways that God leads and guides. All 20 of these specific ways in which God leads and guides can be discovered in the Scriptures. What I felt is what I call a Divine unction of the Holy Ghost. It is more than a perception or a feeling. It is more like an overwhelming urgency that flows up out of your belly. I informed my family that something definitely was wrong, that there was an urgency in my heart and we needed to get off this highway I 35 W. immediately. This is the only time that I have experienced the urgency to get off a road or highway like this. I took the nearest exit and went north towards Canada. After a while, we connected to another highway and headed west. Later in the day, we pulled into a store to take a break from driving. As we entered this facility, we noticed that there were people gathered around the TV. We could see that some major disaster had taken place. The viewer’s informed us that a bridge had collapsed over the Mississippi River earlier in the day with lots of traffic that was loaded on top of it. We could see cars, trucks, buses everywhere that had fallen into the Mississippi. Amazingly it was the highway the spirit of God Quicken my heart to get off of, it was I 35 W ! If I had not left the highway, we would have been on that bridge when it collapsed into the Mississippi River. Thirteen people died that day and (145 ) were seriously injured. Not including all of the terrible destruction, and horrible nightmare that took place with all of those who were a part of this tragedy. Only God knows if we wouldve died or not if I had not been obedient to that Holy Ghost unction.
