My Favorite # 7 :----- SAAB 92 ( 1946 -- 49) I fell in love even before knowing much about this machine,,for just TWO reasons ..........The Designer Legend* Mr.Sixten Sason* & * as it was Powered by my TWO STROKE motor * { Plz no one goes about discussing two strokes here ..as the subject matter is different !! :-) }..an additional craze was ....as it is SWEDISH !!:-) Swedens contribution to car design has been less substantial than those of Italy or America, but few models have acheived Classic status nonetheless !! Sixten Sason.. Swedens greatest homegrown industrial designers, with automobiles forming only one part of his bulging creative portfolio. Sason a Aviator ended with a crash that cost him a lung.& ended up at** SAAB**, the acronym for** Svenska Aeroplan AB**. Just after WW11 SAAB turned its head from Aeronautics to Automobiles .........This marriage of Aeronautical engineering & Visualizing skills ( of Sason) , produced a remarkable CAR ..**SAAB 92** Though SAAB 92 s prototype was unveiled at 1947..production dint start till end of 1949 ..... SAAB 92 ...designed like a AIRCRAFT WING its dramatically stream lined form was a result of both~ * Advanced Aerodynamic experimentation & Sophisticated Form- giving*~ ..many conventional ( than) was eliminated ..like Fenders, Wheel arches and all other potential protuberances to create a SLEEK BODY SHELL !! ~~~~~~~~>>> The SAAB 92 remains, however one of the companys most radical & respected achievements :-) ;-) Post Script :- The Legend SIXTEN SASONs Sason, credentials also include the Swedish line of Electrolux vacuum cleaners, ...Few small Motorbikes to husqvarma & some home appliances to Husquvarma like sewing machine etc .....Rakshit ShastryPradeep Mohan.......
