My Favorite Sounds I often use effects processors when recording and mixing my hammered dulcimer, but I spent the day today fine tuning my effects rig for live gigs. Purists, you should probably look away, now. This video is a quick demonstration of my dialed-in sound using the following: * Beta 57 Microphone * Pickup the World transducer through a LR Baggs Paracoustic Preamp * Flashback Delay (TC Electronic) * Hall of Fame Reverb (TC Electronic) * Octave Fuzz (MXR) Its all routed through a MOTU 828 which serves as my mixer (thats what you see on the left side of the instrument and is held there with Velcro). I stuck an image of my routing diagram on the end of the video, in case youre interested in such things. Ill have a new course up on dulcimerschool in January, on playing with effects.
