My Fellow Pioneers, I am absolutely thrilled about the positive response we have received in regards to the mascot project. Marietta College greatly appreciates the many current students, alumni, faculty & staff, and various friends of the college who came forward with 518 incredible mascot name suggestions. After reviewing the most popular entries, the Marietta College Mascot Committee is pleased to announce we have agreed upon six finalists in the mascot-naming portion of this project. To learn about the six finalists, and to cast your ballot for the official name of our new Pioneer mascot costume, please visit the following link: https://surveymonkey/s/NamethePioneerMascot We encourage all students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of our prestigious institution to vote on the name of this new symbol of Marietta College pride. The name with the most submissions will be the permanent name chosen for this figure. This poll will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, so please enter a submission soon. After the poll closes, Marietta College Student Senate and the Pioneer Activities Council (PAC) will review the votes to see which name was the most popular entry.
