My Friends! - I have a question for all of you, and even for those who might visit me on facebook, yet do not consider yourselves my friends. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?: “Those who make the laws should be subject to the laws they make.” Whether you agree or disagree with this statement please explain WHY congress, BOTH REPUBLICANS and DEMOCRATS have voted to EXEMPT themselves from Obamacare. And of course, taxpayers subsidize the cost of the OTHER health insurance plan for all of congress, as well as for every other cost they have. I can understand why Republicans voted to exempt themselves even though I believe it to be unfair. (They still should be subject to it.) They hate the law. But why did Democrats vote to exempt themselves from the very law they rammed through congress and continue to praise, even though it remains widely unpopular to most all Americans? I know why, but I would like to hear how those who support the law explain this. It is a well known fact, one acknowledged now by the labor unions, big business, high ranking Democrats and even the White House that Obamacare has many flaws, to put it mildly. It appears to me that the fastest way to fix those flaws is to ensure that Congress feels them as sharply and as personally as every other American. Force them to abide by the law they forced on all of us. But to believe that will happen is to believe in Santa Claus, the tooth fairly and the chance of a snowball surviving in hell. Middle class Americans, the backbone of our nation, have become servants to those they have elected to serve and protect them. For those of you who feel otherwise, please weigh in!
