My Friends, and Family, Today me & my wife were out shopping at Wal-Mart on Gilmer Road, here in Longview, TX. She was in Make-up section, and I had ran into hardware to get some wood glue, and a rubber mallet. I was coming back to where Deb was, and as I came around the corner, I almost ran smack dab into this guy. Right away facial recognition hit, I was standing in front of one of Nashvilles greatest Country Singers from the old days of Country, many of my friends around town said they know Him, and even had promised to take me to his house in Pine tree, but that had never happened, well I always said one day I would run into him, and sure enough, I was standing in front of Country Legend Neil McCoy The coolest thing is that he was the most layed back Joe, and not arrogant like most performers I had met through my Country music journey, and since I have been out of the circuit for some years now, it is not too often you run into entertainers in your neck of the woods. He greeted me, and was very nice, and I yelled for Deb, and said Honey this is Neil McCoy, the Country Singer I always talk about, we both talked with him about 5 minutes, and he said he would like to get with us sometime, and talk, I told him about what we do in Ministry, and within the Community, and he said we had good hearts, and that more people in this town need to be like that. He said he had to run, as he was looking for a gift for a birthday party, and was running late, and his Wife and Mother in Law was waiting for him. By talking with him, you could see his love for the Lord, a real down to Earth man. Me and Deb, were excited to meet him, and neither of us nor him had a pin for autographs, bummer, but yet I finally met him, and that made our day. He said to find him on FB, and we could get together sometime, and talk about Ministry works here in Longview. Well we are having a blessed and peaceful weekend, and we hope the same is going on for all of you, be blessed and be LOVE always.
