My Governorship Ambition is on course A leading contender in the next years governorship race in Osun State, Engr Fatai Akinade Akinbade,has accused detractors as being brain behind the speculation of his purported ministerial nomination. Rather,Akinbade, in a statement by his media consultant,Mr Kayode Oladeji,said he has been focussing on his governorship ambition with a view to actualising his dream. I never applied or lobbied to be minister. I did not submit my CV to anybody. Come to think of it,becoming a minister has processes and not on the pages of newspapers Besides,he said the Presidency has already nominated those its wanted from the state,wondering what those behind his purported nomination,stand to gain,stressingas good and as big the office of the minister is,the governorship ticket,remains my target.Aside,I dont want to be like the proverbial fellow that pursues two rats at the same time and loses both at end The former Secretary to the State Government who attributed the speculation to the handiwork of those intimidated by his ever-rising profile,said his ambition to assume the leadership of the state as it governor as from next year .remained unshaken My covenant with God and the people of this state is to be their governor as from next year. With the overwhelming and the unflinching supports we have been receiving on daily basis from all segments of our society,we can never be distracted by any shenanigans I just want to appeal to my teeming supporters,admirers and well- wishers from across all the political parties who have been bombarding me with calls and enquiries, to disregard the rumour;its nothing but distraction. My ambition to be the governor of our dear state is fully on course and will surely materialise by Gods grace According to the Ogbaagbaa born politician,the people of the state have endured enough hardship from the current administration,a development he said, called for concern Instead of all these forms of unnecessary distractions,all that should concern every well meaning individuals is how to send Aregbesola and his gang back to Lagos because they have done more than enough damages to our people
