My Grandpa Harvey Wosika. Wish I could have put this up on Vets day, but just located these pictures. My gpa made it through some crazy things during world war 2, and is even mentioned in published books such as: Marine Combat Correspondent, mentioning his survival stories. I know he wouldnt want me mentioning him like this but he deserves credit. He would probably say just dont, nobody wins because people died. He doesnt even like war movies bc he says these people making these movies cant comprehend what its really like. Its crazy to think how lucky I am to even be here when hearing what he survived through. Love my grandpa for sure, he has always had all my respect. Many family members say we are a lot alike. The picture with the medals is from the recent years as he dressed up to walk for his diploma with his war medals. He never was able to receive his diploma when young, because he was called to duty before he was able to graduate high school.. Then the other picture was a picture of him when he was in the Marines during his early twenties, I believe the photo was taken in Germany. Respect to the Veterans!
