My Honest Message To NTV Uganda In regards to the message posted you you official page addressing rumors of artists having to pay 500k to appear on a show,i think you should stop taking us for fools and stop manipulating artists in Uganda. By law an artist is supposed to get an allowance for a guest appearance on a show not them paying to appear. When you use their content (music) do you pay them? By law an artist is supposed to get paid each time their content is used. Why manipulate us? You claim many artists want to appear on your shows,do you have more pressure than BET or MTV? Its a sense of being professional just and you aint. In your status update you say you are dedicated to promoting Ugandan talent,i think its ironic especially if you want these hustlers to pay 500k to appear for 10 minutes on a show which sometimes doesnt play their music. A case in point MC Kats interviews an artist as he plays Nigerian videos,i think in the politest words,it it BOGAS. MY MESSAGE TO UGANDAN ARTISTS Appearing on NTV wont elevate your career given the fact that u will appear for 10 minutes and after that no one will remember you; get that 500k,make a music video and take it to other TV stations who will play your music. After you gain the fame,sue NTV for playing your music video without consent or pay. Looking at NTV music programs,Kona,Xpozed and The beat,these programs are overrated and have no viewership in reality because kids that watch them are in high school and only have 2 weeks for holidays. Also these kids cant afford to pay for your show,the best they can do is update a status about you. Reality is, Record TV Katogo is Ugandas most viewed music show as it has mostly viewership of the locals that arent really high school chaps and those are the guys that pay for shows Dont let Media houses take advantage of you,you give them the content that runs them and they have cheated you a lot . With effect next year,UCC has passed a law that 70% of content on local stations showing in prime time should be local,as it stands NTV has 10% local so they will look for you and make sure they pay you. NTV UGANDA,MUKOMYE AKAMANYIRO, Artists put in money in studio,money in videos and now also pay you to make money for yourselves!! Cooperate thieves is what i call such people. How much do Nigerians or Americans pay you? mutugyeko akamanyiro. There are more than 15 TV stations,temutukoyo.
