My Husband got his whole arm cast removed today and now he has a smaller one. No infection and the arm and wrist are healing good. He can return to work on light duty on Monday without use of his right arm. Returns to doctor in 2 weeks for new cast. The doctor said he has lost strength and mobility around the thumb and will have to have physical therapy and other wrist and arm braces when the hard cast is finally able to come off for good. his arm and wrist will never be the same :( One of the comments from the doctor was that when returning to work he needed to be in a clean environment and the woman at his work who deals with the case said well we will see about you returning that she needed to find out what that meant? Duh...it just means not working in a chicken house or some place dirty! Otherwise if she does not let him back to work there is she really saying that the rehab facility is dirty? If so maybe certain people need to be notified of that! Calling his case worker in the morning.
