My IM contacts are dropping like flies. I use Pidgin as my one-stop-shop for Instant Messenger duties and manage a wide array of IM clients there. I logged into today and have noticed that more and more of my old IM contacts have disappeared. It seems that Google Talk (integrated into Gmail / Google+) and Facebook Chat are taking over the IM space. Nobody but spammers use ICQ anymore. The glory days of IM are over.
