My JEE Main exam center was at Sonarpur. I swear I thought I had to go there and personally assemble the computer where I would take the exam. Anyway, the first thing I did was to try and find a known face. And I was happy to see a boy from my school. (Wont disclose his name here. Youll know why.) I beamed at him, having craved familiarity for half an hour. He turned towards me and spoke. Heres what he said, Have you come here to take the JEE Main exam? His question crushed the air from my lungs. I forgot my morning revision. I felt like replying, No dude. Just drove into Sonarpur, taking in the sights. Another experience was at my WBJEE exam center. Its 3.30 in the afternoon and Im taking my last exam, Chemistry. I had a bottle of water with a little less than quarter bottle remaining. A girl beside me had an empty bottle. She waved it at the invigilator and he took it from her, returning a full bottle minutes later. He then looked at my bottle and said, Water? I nodded and he took my bottle away. I got an empty bottle back.
