My Lifelong friend and Mother Figure, Wanda Gregory, informed me today that our former manager and friend from The Old Shoneys Gang Eddie Bush has passed away .. When I first met Eddie, He HATED me .. We were arch enemies .. We hated everything about each other .. I LOVED to make him miserable .. He LOVED to make me miserable .. One day, while unloading the food truck at 7:30 in the morning, He spilled his soul to me about some personal issues in his life that were going on at the time .. I dropped my guard with him that day, and I told him: Whatever it is that you need from me, Ill always be there for you .. .. and he promptly replied with the same promise .. We began our relationship hating almost everything about each other, and then one day, by some weird twist of fate, we decided that we had each others back .. The last day that I ever spent with him was at the Nashville Fair Grounds at a flea market .. ( Early to mid-90s ?? ) .. We spent all day with each other, cruising the flea market, and we talked NON-STOP about ALL THINGS AND EVERYTHING that we had been through, both together and away from each other .. He very well may be my first enemy that was made into a friend .. I hated him .. But in the end, we both loved each other .. I havent seen him for years .. But Ill never forget how big of a prick he was to me on the job .. And then he would come and see my band play .. and we would hang out afterwards, and talk for hours ..
