My Lil heart is quite broken today. I was called to childrens hospital by one special little girl. As some of you know I read stories to the kids at Childrens Hospital. Some of my Hospital buds have stood in for me while I myself have been down or away. I dont talk a lot about it cause its pretty personal to me. Today I make an exception for 7 year old Gracie Liegh. Never in a million years did I think I would ever get such a call. Gracie wanted me to read one last story as she went to heaven. Gracie was a foster child with no one but nurses and staff to guide her. If only everyone knew how special these souls are. God blessed me with a loving family after my stay in the system. Not everyone gets that chance. I watched Gracie get her little wings today. I held her hand and read as much of Peter Pan as I could. She doesnt have cancer any more. And she has a family that will never leave her.... Rest in heaven sweet girl....
