My Macintosh is the best freakin tool any writer ever was unworthy to possess. For just one example, it allows me to select each chapter, hit option/escape, and listen to an audio read of the m/s excerpt. I can simultaneously read-along or not; either way, I can hear any awkward construction, cardboard dialogue, the occasional (okay: frequent) typos, etc....and fix em immediately. Invaluable. And a helluva lot of fun to hear your own stuff spoken aloud in the mid-book-writing-process, too. Burning a candle for you right now, Steve Jobs. Ill send the nomination for sainthood off to the Vatican later today.
