My Mediacom Internet is on the blitz once again. I will be on infrequently for awhile. Last time it took 5 technicians before they finally sent one out who knew what the heck he was doing! It was rather comical until I got pissed. Then nobody was laughing. First repairman looked at the modem and said my problem was the modem had a battery in it and it wasnt supposed to, so he removed the battery, laid in on the desk and left. Internet still didnt work. Second repairman looked at modem and battery and said heres your problem, someone has removed the battery from the modem. He replaced it and left. Internet still didnt work. Guess what the third and fourth repairmen did. Internet still didnt work. I got pissed. Call Mediacom, talked to the manager of the manager of the manager of the manager. Told her she could do one of two things. She could send me a repairman that very day who knew what the bloody hell they were doing and get my internet fixed immediately or they could come that very day and remove all their equipment from my house. She tried to explain that someone would be out the following week ... I said what part of you have two options didnt she understand. Told her the two options again and said pick one. Again with the we can get someone out there next week. I said come pick up your equipment immediately or Ill start charging you $100 per day storage fee for it. They sent their best tech guy. He fixed it the same day. He actually knew what he was doing. Found the problem on the line two blocks over, darn little squirrel. Replaced the squirrel-chewed line and I havent had any problems for awhile. Now Im having problems again. If they start out by taking the battery out of the modem ... I may need a shovel!
