My Meeting with the former Mayor of Cambridge. E. Dennise Simmons. Nothing can take back what I posted about black women yesterday. My anger and frustration was on public display about radical feminism: women who demand respect, as opposed to earning it. But there was so much more going on beneath the surface that I cannot speak about, because I was bound by a confidentiality agreement with BPH and DMH--I went through a state application and CORI check in order to be appointed to the DMH HR committee, which I served on for more than a year. In any case, back in 2009 I met with Mayor Simmons in her office, a few weeks before she would leave her post. I made an appointment and, upon entering her office, said good morning Your Honor. There is the proper way of addressing elected officials of her stature. I sat down and talked with her about not having any family in Boston, being homeless prior to being given housing by North Charles and, hopefully, looking for a home cook meal for Christmas. The mayor made a phone call on my behalf and I was given a Shaws Gift Certificate (First Part).
